Thank you, Food Stamp Challenge Participants!

The following Arkansas legislators took the Food Stamp Budget Challenge issued by the Arkansas Hunger Relief Alliance and the Arkansas Hunger Coalition. They agreed to live on $3 per day, the typical Food Stamp allotment, for three days in August. As a result of their experiences, a new legislative Hunger Caucus has been created. It will be chaired by Representative Kathy Webb and Representative Rick Green. In addition, an Interim Study on Hunger in Arkansas will be conducted by legislative staff with the hopes of enacting legislation in the next session that will alleviate hunger in our state.
