We are pleased to announce that the Alliance Ambassadors have voted in new officers for the inaugural 2023-2024 cohort. Congratulations to Laterika Tooks, Melissa Joiner, Chloe Cunningham, Adrien Mitchell, Ashlynn Bowman, and Will Zee Tidwell! They will each serve in their roles until the next cohort of Alliance Ambassadors are recruited in the fall of 2024.
The Alliance Ambassadors are a group of folks between 18-30 years old in Central Arkansas united by a shared passion for their community and being part of the Alliance’s efforts to end hunger in Arkansas. Members of the Alliance Ambassadors will learn about hunger reduction initiatives and take on an active role in Alliance programming. Ambassadors will also have the unique opportunity to receive mentorship from current Alliance staff and members of the Board of Directors.
LATERIKA TOOKS, Board Chair, will be responsible for running meetings, coordinating members,
and communicating Ambassador updates to the Alliance Board of Directors and partners.
MELISSA JOINER, Vice Chair, will assume responsibilities of the Board Chair in their absence,
and serve on the grants review committee for various Alliance grant opportunities.
CHLOE CUNNINGHAM. Operations Chair, will keep meeting minutes, track attendance,
and coordinate the Mentorship component of the program with Alliance staff and Board members.
ADRIEN MITCHELL, ASHLYNN BOWMAN & WILL ZEE TIDWELL, Project Chairs, will be primarily responsible for communicating volunteer opportunities to Ambassadors, serving on the planning committee for our annual fundraising event (Serving Up Solutions) as well as on the College Hunger Committee.
