“Everybody can be great…because anybody can serve. You don’t have to have a college degree to serve. You don’t have to make your subject and verb agree to serve. You only need a heart full of grace. A soul generated by love.”
― Martin Luther King Jr.

With hunger on the rise in Arkansas and cuts to SNAP benefits putting added strain on emergency food supplies, it has never been more important for families to make the most of their food dollars. Cooking Matters at the Store, an innovative nutrition education program developed by Share Our Strength, teaches adults and families how buy nutritious foods on a budget without sacrificing taste or variety. Understanding nutrition labels, unit pricing, bulk purchasing and making smart choices in fresh, frozen and canned produce give people the skills they need to get the most from their food dollars.
